i find a lot more people stick to 60 these days to save fuel, i usually do myself, not all for just saving fuel but when i'm not in a hurry i like to cruise along all relaxed with my music on, couldn't drive like those tailgating types all the time getting stressed out.

If yes but they really should increase it. I can do whatever speed I want to. It's only breaking the law if you get caught at the end of the day. My uncle is a traffic cop and he hates the limit being 70 as he says all the cars that spot him immediately drop to 70 and It's a nightmare. he would rather then continue as they had been doing. I tend to agree. One question, you lot ain't all ninety years old or somethig are you and that's why you're worried as your reaction time is actually longer than the actual stopping distances?

The HGVs wouldn't be driving in a manner for that to happen when backed up turning off at a junction. Another made up scenario that is extremely unlikely!

they might all be too scared to overtake by 2mph so just stay in a line.
have you ever tried opening up a gap in front of you significantly?

never said they was turning off a junction. they were passing a junction, and i have seen it a few times

Who said turning off.. If people need to enter the motorway it's courtesy to move over to let them.

Everybody is going to deal with those situations safely and not think ah its ok ill continue at 80 in the middle lane. Just the same as with a 70 speed limit the traffic tends to slow right down at these junctions just as it would with an 80 limit
