Hi,

I have 195/45 on 14" on my cinquecento right now.
Want to change back to 13" but what should I do?
175 wide on 5.5x13 is more or less set but 175/50 or 175/60?
175/50 looking better, shorten 5th gear around 8% (compared to now)
175/60 dirt cheap, better shock absorbing, same radius (compared to now)
How big is the difference in handling and acceleration?

if you go back to 175/50 r 13, then when your speedo reads 70mph its actually doing 66mph

175/60 r 13 puts your speedo out by 2mph

with original tyre size of 165/55 r13 standard on a sei sporting with the 50 profile it puts the speedo under and on the 60 profile it puts the speedo over by 3mph

it would not really make a difference to acceleration, but handling would improve wit hwider tyres

Hi,

I'm not concerned about the speedo.
With standart tyres it read 150km/h and was doing real 137km/h so it will still not tell the truth.
Both tyres are 175 wide so where is the difference in handling?

hey i was gonna ask my own tyre question but its here for me already! excellent!

BUT!! does anyone know if you can get 175 55 r 13's???

I found these really nice looking 13 inch Y-spoke wheels in Demon Tweeks for £87 each, but they are 6x13. now call me fussy but i like the tyre to be wider than the wheel. i have 165 55 13's on my standard sporting wheels, but are 175 55 13's a possiblity or unheard of??

175/55/13's not available, have a look at www.mytyres.co.uk cheap as chips too!

175/50 are supposed to be wider than you would think (just hearing the numbers)
or go for 195/45-13 they should fit on the 6x13(with spacers I suppose) as my 195/45-14 are on 5.5x14
