No, changing the profile from 80 to 70 would reduce the wheel and tyre combination diameter by, I think, 3.1 cm. This would alter the car's gearing as well as speedo and mileometer readings.
Blackcircles have got too expensive nowadays and their choice is poor. Try
OK, they don't include fitting in the price but they will find you a local fitter and inform you of the fitting prices, or you could enquire at local tyre depots as to their prices to fit tyres. I've found a reputable place local to me only charging £5 per tyre.

then again if you're sticking to the standard the car came with (conti eco 3's in 165/65/r14 for the eleganza), £38.20 a tyre fitted seems reasonable to me

Are you guys finding the conti eco tyres just about as noisy as you can get?
On stone chipped tarmac it makes a terrible rumbling / drumming noise but on smooth tarmac its dead quiet.
Anyone found a ' quiet' alternative ?

Looking to upgrade my 1.2 to the 14" wheels ..will be getting the falken ZE 512's if I do they well and truly yummy :yum:

As said above if you fitter a lower profile of tyre you alter the rolling radius and the speedo will read incorrectly have a play around on here
