I did an oil an filter change on our 2014 TwinAir Trekking at the weekend and noticed that the side of the sump under the pulleys was coated in a fine mist of oil as was the undertray. I have given it a full degrease and nipped up the sump bolts which all had a small amount of slack in them. Couldn't work out where the oil is coming from, just wondered if there was a common issue?

Giving this a bump as I have a similar leak. It appears to be coming from quite high up the engine. Any suggestions? Thanks

I believe there is an issue with the sealing of the timing case, I’ve seen a suggestion to remove and reseal, but have two smaller lines bridging the head and block, where is seems the factory sealant is under-applied…

I have this on mine but when looking at the work involved, its just easier to live with the minor oil misting and cleaning it occasionally.
