Hi all n g`day,

I was recommended by the panda classic forum to post here....
Looking for plug options for my 1.1 L SPI trekking panda, circa 2000... IIUC, its the same motor as you cenq guys run
My post is titled as 'hello and twin electrode spark plug'...

Would appreciate some feedback,

Regards,

Nick

Tx for the quick response,

Is that the factory equivalent plug for this type of engine?
Any experience w twin electrode plugs?
Did the dealer here just put in whatever...
Regards

Not sure who made the original plugs for FIAT back then, but nowadays they're said to be NGKs rebranded as FIAT.

I can't remember using twin electrode plugs on anything or putting anything other than NGK in anything for the last 20 years or so.

The FIRE engines are about as simple as they get -- even if twin electrode plugs were proven to be somehow superior, they're pretty much the last place you'd expect to see it.

OK, simple question,

What is the recommended generic/NGK plug number for this engine? What heat range, 5,6,7,8?

Tx

BCPR6ES

The R denotes a resistor plug, the 6 is the heat range (but note not all manufacturers use the same coding for heat range). No idea about the rest!

google will explain the code and they normally are pregapped there are equivalents but most people...

B = 14mm thread
C = 5/8" Hex
P = Projected Insulator
R = Resistor
6 = Heat Range
E = 19mm Reach
S = Std 2.5mm centre electrode

They are NOT pre-gapped.
