Technical turbo conversion

is there anywhere i can get a turbo conversion for my mk1 1.2? i dont wana get a gt engine cos of insurance, but i mite have to cos of the price of the conversion, but is there anywhere that does it?

if you stick a turbo on your 1.2, it'll cost you more to insure than a GT. A GT comes form the factory with better brakes, suspension etc. Even if yiu uprate everything else to match teh engine, it'll still cost you more because you've fanny'd around with it.

Price up the cost of uprating everything and then price up the cost of a GT.

I agreee above. Why if you're car is standard spend money on doing a conversion, when you can just buy yourself a GT. You will save on the insurance, as a GT insurance is gonna be less than a punto with a GT conversion.
The only reason im having a GT conversion is because mine is a cab and a GT version was never made.
