Technical Turbo boost warning light (TD)

Hi, I've been a little disturbed to notice that if I accelerate hard (WOT) in my Tempra Turbo diesel, the boost guage will ramp up to the edge of the red zone and then will go all the way into the red and the warning light will come on.

so my questions are:

a) is this normal, does it happen to anyone else?

b) is it because the TD has an "overboost" facility for overtaking?

c) is my turbo actually being damaged, is there anyway to turn the boost down?

d) is the guage bust?

THIS HAPPEND ON MY FACE LIFT Mreg TIPO SX TD.
JUST EASE OFF THROTTLE A LITTLE.
WARNING LIGHT MEANS EXCESIVE TURBO PREASURE.
THE MAIN DEALER TRIED EVERYTHING WITH MINE CHANGED THE SENSOR SWITCH BUT MADE NO DIFFERENCE.
LIKE I SAY JUST SLIGHTY EASE OFF GAS AND TRY NOT TO LET GAUGE HIT THE RED ZONE ALL THE TIME.
