Hi to all! this type of question may have been asked before but i couldnt find it
Im lookin at tuning my Stilo Shumacher GP just wondering wot i can hope to get out of it;- Air filters(panels/performance),ECU(remap/chipping), Supercharging? .
Can i get any of this through a proper offical supplier rather than a 3rd party mass production;wot i mean is If Alfa has AutoDelta who do Fiat have?
Thanks!

Re: Tuning for Silo Abarth

I would suggest the following [because it is what I run ;)]

- a BMC CDA
- a remap for the 2.4 [I got mine via Angel]

As for supercharging, Novitec do one for the 2.4 - I haven't gone down that route, though, and don't intend to.

N Technology is what you are looking for. But you will neither to be able to afford AutoDelta nor N Technology without remortgaging your property.

I do not understand your reference to 'a 3rd party mass production'?

Companies like Engstler, Merkur, Novitec, L&M International to mention some of the best produce products that do not fit this category and certainly do not deserve to be spoken about in such a way!

Novitec has got a dealer network spanning over 5 continents, have prfessional racing experience and last not least a lot of their products do not invalidate the manufacturers warranty in various countries.

Engstler is more specialised than Novitec and might not have as many products but are evenly good as are Merkur. L&M International is the importer of Novitec and has done other projects with great success.

Hi old school.
No disrespect to these companys you have said im sure that they do very good products.
3rd party means not by main manufacturer (fiat) not by a2nd party (main dealer) but a company who makes a product that generally works then changes its design/fitment to fit a mass range of cars.
Just that i wondered if there was a company (i have tried Abarth in seach engines but no luck) that has a VERY close relationship with a/the main car manufacturer i.e Autodelta-Alfa,Alpina-Bmw,AMG-Merc most of which has a racing pedigre with their cars so they have a extra inside information or understanding.
Because some things or companys i have mentioned above are not with or produced for the masses it also has a nice extra shiney bling to it.

I do understand where you are coming from. But you have to recognise that companies like Novitec are accepted in Germany by the manufacturers warranty arrangement. I know the owner of the company myself. Novitec has got extensive race experience having raced for factory tems. They and Engstler have very close links. I myself involved in racing and performance product development and have links to Turin and into some of the development places.

In this industries a lot of specialist companies do work for the manufacturers.
For example Pectel used to do the mapping for Mountune who used to do the engines for Ford at one time and Texaco developed the oil for Mountune.

We smaller companies do a lot of very specialised stuff, which is no worse than what the manufacturers develop you want to deal with.

Forgot to say thanks to stuartdemon.I reconise that these smaller companys do and can work with the main companys(im part of it too) but its a case of who u can trust or you take on face value with our pride and joy,you seem to KNOW them because of your work etc i DONT know that side of this industry so these foreign companys could be dodgy one out of a max power special to just earn quick money.Germany and other countrys do/can have different rules or specs to us in uk so id be a little cautious unless it had a good backin/backgrounds and recomendations form lots of people.
Do you have site addresses?
wot part do u work with?as lot as it diddnt get u in trouble.
