The tuner in my radio has died and is not repairable according to the local car audio specialists. I asked about connecting a dab tuner via an Aux input but they tell me this is a problem because the radio unit is central to the on-board computer and sat nav. Everything else works, sat nav, CD, CD changer and computer but no radio reception therefore i can't use a tuner with an FM transmitter, it will have to be directly connected.
Any advice?

hi, i had an excellent cd/tuner that the radio tuner died on, approx couple of years ago now, but a guy on ebay repaired the tuner of the radio nice & cheaply. look up radio repair service or similar on ebay :)

I had the same problem with a 53 plate eleganza. I ended up buying a rt3 unit on ebay, when fiat tried to install it onto my car they couldn't match the chassis number to the radio. All that happened was there was a bleeping constantly. I then took the radio to a radio repair shop and had the tuners changed over from one to the other, the tuner is located in the back of the radio. I also heard rumors that the tuner is the same as one in a clarrion radio. I hope this may be of some help to you. Wayne 54
