General trouble in CD/Nav land..

Hi there.

Finally my Nav started to work normally again.. seems that the errormessages that came up reg a faulty switch to the gearbox had some power on the Nav aswell.. now it's working fine.

BUT.. lately the CD has started to play up.
What happens is, when I've played a CD or a CDbook i makes small jumps.. which is very annoying.

Will a CD cleaning disc help?

Also would like to know about the scroller on the nav.. it sometimes lock itself between to things.. and depends how much you try to scroll it will only scroll abit.. then sometimes it works fine.

any ideas?

It is common for CD players to fail in these. Cleaning may help but then again it may not.
For the front panel control, take the front off and check the connectors between the front dispaly and main PCB are plugged in securely.

It could be a faulty rotary encoder. Although my CN+ knob hasnt failed I have had it happen on other products I own after a few years of hard use.

Sourcing a replacement may be difficult though.
