450 miles from £20???

I dont get that from a full tank in my 80sx!

it's true wimmy, i couldn't belive it myself, but that guage is a liar, as it said empty from birmingham, but i had no m,oney left at all so i had to go for it, 200 miles later i was home, and only put £20 in that morning, i thought great best go put some in now or i'll wreck my cat.

Its True

I did a 380 mile trip and 3/4 of the way back on a full tank in my 80 sx - about a £43 tank isnt it?

Milton Keynes to Cumbria (Rowrah)

Re: Its True

I did 330 miles on £30.50 fuel in a 1.6,then had to fill up again to do the next 70 miles home. (decided to fill up as i didn't fancy tryin to squeeze 400 miles out the tank and the petrol station was about to shut!) Nothing to do with what your talkin about but i didn't think it was bad for a 1.6!

Re: Re: Its True

I got 39MPG from my 1.6 at 70-80MPH going between Soton and Leeds. It seems to enjoy long runs.

Re: Re: Re: Its True

i did 9000 miles in my 155hgt on 10 quid

Re: Re: Re: Re: Its True

I got 300 miles out of £25 in my marea hlx 147bhp.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Its True

9000 miles in a 155HGT on £10.!!! Thats bloody impressive!
I assume you mean 90!
I can get about 320-350miles from a tank, 147HGT

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Its True

And half a gallon of NOS?! ;)

Shabash!

speaking of mpg

ive managed about 180 miles on £20 with some left in my 1.4!!!! wouldnt expect that! thought twas all motorway - like said above i guess they enjoy the long motorway type journeys!

hold on..

just realised thats shocking for mine!! 200 or so miles from £20 and everyone else is puting in 400 from £25 shame on you mr 1.4!!

Re: hold on..

nah i meant 9000 miles. i had it transported abroad with me with a tenners worth in the tank although it didnt drive much it still covered 9000 miles.

£20 at 72.9p/l is 27.43 litres or 6.02 gallons right

So 450 miles from 6.02 gallons is 74.75mpg

You got an LPG unit fitted to that or something? cuz that just dont add up

Re: Re: Tribute to the 1.2

I don't undestand it myself, but i got home and didn't refill at all, i was going on average 90mph, and then the roads around home are 40, it was probobly running on fumes for 250 miles :)
