I have just bought a new SCUDO in France. Dealer quoted £450 parts and £210 to fit! I understand the body computer needs resetting after fitting.
I can buy the kit for £240 and fit it myself but the dealer wanmts £210 to reset. Any suggestions?
I am going to the uk soon how much would I have to pay at a UIK dealer to fit or reset?
Thanks

Computer reset? What for?

The electrics wire in parallel with the lights at the rear of the vehicle - as far as I'm aware this doesn't involve any 'computer' issues at all.

Standard procedure nowadays is to use a bypass relay to avoid any problems with the electrics and body computer.

I have found a supplier of a specific bypass socket kit for the Scudo that does not need cutting of wires etc, plug in. In the instructions it quotes that the body computer has to be set for a trailer (reversing aid etc.). What is the cheapest way to get this done ?
Interestingly there is a DIFFERENT KIT for lhd and rhd!
