Just thought I'd post this in case it helps someone else:

The fuel pump on my wifes Tipo gave out the other day, and after a hard time finding a new one, I tracked one down at Southern Carbs (020 8540 2723) for the pretty reasonable price of £65 + P&P.

It's the Bosch in-tank one (part number 0 580 453 502) from a 1994 1.4 ie S. Fiat don't seem to list the pump on it's own, you have to buy the whole assembly (which is anything from £120 upwards).

Might be worth speaking to them if you've had the same trouble.

Regards,
dK

just to add.you do not have to use a fiat/bosch fuel pump.you can use a universal one as long as the fuel pressure is similar.it will be marked on both pumps.cost of pump inc vat approx £30.

Does anyone know how to get the pump out of the rubber surround?

Oh, and cheers Sumplug I'll bear that in mind next time! :)

HI daklone

I've just joined the forum. I have the same problem - how do I get the collar off? What was the answer that solved your problem? (I can't see the solution in the forum listings
