Having owned a 1.6 multijet 2018 tipo for the last 2.5 years and driven 50,000 miles absolutely fault less such a great car thinking of upgrading to a tipo cross 1.5 dct hybrid 2022 is is going to be as good if not better I like the idea of the auto box higher driving position and the full spec i'd like pros and cons please I do a lot of motorway miles so happy with my multijet please give me the first and against I'd like your options please

i'd like pros and cons please

Pros: It's newer
Cons: Hybrid means nothing on a motorway so no real benefit there. What you do get is more complexity and when the batteries go (and they will) you can not operate solely on petrol without the batteries. Many who own hybrids do not realize that.

Final analysis, better options out there for the money.

I'm reading good things about the 1 litre !! But will it be good enough for the milage I do ? I don't want to be revving the whatsits out of it . Or do I just get the 2021 station wagon

That would call for a proper test drive if you can and preferably on the motorway to see what you think. It's the only true way to make your judgement. Take both out if you can for a test drive. Don't base your decision on trying to save the planet, it's mostly a gimmick and if you knew the amount of pollution created to make those batteries you might be horrified.

I'm a heavy machinery operator it's just a chap I worked with had a hybrid Mitsubishi but a plug in one has had it for years and loves it . Plus I don't think I would use the battery mode much just like the 1500 engine and because it's a cross

Understandable and what you want is validation. (your mind was already made-up)
You certainly can afford it in that trade. Good luck to you.

Done a bit more research they are saying the batteries will last between 4-6 years !!! Possibly up to 90,000 miles with regular maintenance by a fiat technician !!!! What then scrap a £14,000 car ? I think I'll be keeping my trusted love Italian love bug for another 100,000 smiles thanks for pointing me in the right direction still going to have a test drive Saturday
