General tints or sun shades

Ihave dark blue abarth. Darkest tints from b post back and darkest legal on front sides.

Had no issues infact only got fully examined by a massive traffi. Police crack down last night as they were pulling every car over and. Checking them all.

I'm in Birmingham all the time too and had no issues, but defo get front sides done to prevent the van look, but keep it legal. So long as the plod can see who's driving from side youl have no issues.

Hey, has anyone had problems with the dots bits that go round the window (dot matrix) Took mine in yesterday and today they seem to be getter lighter there. Phoned the guy up he said as it drys it will happen all way round, he said if i poped in next week after dried a bit he will try and push it down. Anyone got an advice on this? Thanks.

yeah common problem with glass that has the edging. also rear glass with heater elements

what i done was get a rubber and every day or so for 1st week is just run it in an outward direction, it helps the film stick closer during the drying out stage

yeah worked a treat mate, doesnt clear completly but just matches it with the black part of the glass so theres the black of your tint and the black of the glass surround rather than your tint colour, the black surround AND a silver effect

So a rubber? and gently rubbing across the dots to the edge of the window? Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Very true!!! Around a month ago I looked into tinting my black Stilo. I didn't go ahead with it in the end as I found that police are very interested in my CN+. Mistaking it for a DVD player they would always tail me for about 10mins or so until they were sure that it wasn't playing anything.

I found out that most places that will tint your car recommend getting the front done in a slightly lower percentage than the back. This way your car still looks slinky and doesn't have the van effect.

I had my tints done dark, wont say its van looking, the tinter said this also, because it being a bigish car even though its a 3 door.
