At what mileage would you change the timing belt on a 1.6 Bravo HLX?

I know fiat say 70k but i always thought around 40k on my previous cars and 70k seems to be somewhat late?

People with bravo/a's when did you change yours / whats the sort of mileage you consider it safe to leave it until?

Thanks in advance

Richard

I change my timing belt between 30-40,000 miles. I will never leave it later than that. And when ever i get a new car I change it regardless of what the service history says. Better safe then sorry!

40-50k is the recomended by most Fiat specialists. That ties in with the continental service interval of 60,000km

Saying that you have a Bravo which must be nearing 5 years old. If it hasn't had the belt changed yet do it regardless of mileage.
