Technical Time travel in a Grande Punto

Every month I have to set the clock in my multifunction display.
In about 4 weeks it will loose 2 minutes.

Loosing time whilst travelling, would mean that I have been driving near speed of light -which is not the case..

Am I the only one in this twilight zone?

yeah mine has allways been prone to run a bit slow - but usually over a much longer period.

Happens to me too. About 2 minutes out usually.

On the up side I use it as my excuse for being late for work.

Badly programmed computer is my guess. It's quite hard to program an accurate clock using software without the use of a hardware high accuracy event timer.

Are you sure your not accelerating toward the speed of light? some of the puntos are proper rapid for a light weight, especially the MJET sporting, so E = MC^2 could be achievable.

If not you might want to get your EGR valve checked...

Yup mine drifts about 2 minutes a month as well.
Annoying but I've gotten used to it now. Interesting my old Active (more basic trip computer) didn't seem to have the same issue...

Mine drops about 2-3 minutes a month. It's actually quite annoying, but it reminds me to check other things every month.

Doubt it would be covered under 3rd year warranty. Not really a big enough issue to warrant a trip to the dealer.

Are you saying there is a download to fix this.

If so and i asked my dealer to do any software updates would they all be done as one or would there be mutilple costs involved.

Same here too! I set the clock at the correct time and over a few days the clock runs 2 minutes behind. Then it stays there for ages, my fix for that was always to add 2 mins to the indicated time! But yeah, if there is a simple fix, please T, let us know!

Im guessing a software update / setting change from the Examiner
