was at LC in newport today, and ordered the bits i need at the same prices rich said, i also booked it in for the heater plug problem, cambelt change, and to switch the flashers (lock/unlock) on with examiner. i also bought a set of original stilo mats for £15. guys there seem very nice and helpful.

cambelt change is £250, its that ok?

Hey Oz

Nice motor! Liking it, looks really smart. Not often I complement a non-yellow Stilo!

Scratches - is that one by the rear light?

Broken trim - kick plate was as I said :), trim clip for parcel shelf; it were me, I'd order the whole pillar, but you might get away with the clip and some strategic glueing. Boot trim; order part number 735301785, and you need to get all the white clips out of the metal. You'll need a screw too (15691007).

Like the Simpsons slippers too :p

maybe its not coming out too good in the pics, but 1) iv had a few good comments about it, 2) its original

u lot are just jelous that my rear is sexier than yours:devil:

To be honest I'm dismayed why you've even done that to your Stilo as you haven't even got a JTD badge now :(

All you had to do was leave the original badges on and maybe paint the J T D badge (remember the art is in the understatement).

argo, its just different. i didnt like them too much once i got them on, but soon after they started growing on me. maybe il change it later. is doing different things every now and then that keeps your car 'new' to you so you dont get bored of it too quick. im thinking of a full size circular fiat badge underneath the wiper and the new style front grille to freshen things up.

on another note, today chips away quoted me £260 for all the scratches on the car but NOT the stone chips on the front, a respray was advised there (n) so im thinking to have a full respray when i have the money as i was going to have the bump strips and skirts done too.

i picked up the trim bits i ordered today, very suprised at the prices, i mean £12 for a set of original mats with stilo stitching  all in all i paid 85 squid, but i did have one problem, i want the front grille off the facelift car (the one with the chrome strip across it) but we couldnt find it on eper, the guy said there wasnt even a facelift on 2006, only 2003

Thats either becuase he's running an old version of ePER or is looking at the wrong car!

The new version out does have it - it has my bro's 56 plate on it (he has the new grille).

Hmm . . .

Can't remember what version my dealer are on, but I'll grab the code for you when I go over tomorrow (to get my new parking sensor stuff :D).

cheapest bodyshop quote for a full respray..........£1000

looks like my baby is gonna have to live with a few scars.

oh, and thanks rich for all your help (y)

ok another update,

iv ordered the new style front grille from evans halshaw, i ordered it from there because they had an 07 3dr stilo in the showroom with the new grill so we were a bit more assured as to the part number, because its not so clear in eper.

had the cambelt changed at lc motors in newport, £350, thats belt, pulley, examiner check, enabling remote flashers, and obviously the well overpriced labour charges.

iv not a single penny left for anything else now  it'll be a good few months before she gets any new toys.

despite of this i still had a quote for a cat back stainless steel exhaust from the people phill recommended, prospeed in cardiff. it was something along the lines of £400 for a duplex output. :bang:

oh, im thinking of replacing the utterly useless cd changer with and mp3/usb headunit. im keeping the connect where it is as it displays all the car info and settings. however i will post this in its relavent thread (y)
