Thermostat dilemma

is it normal for the 1.2 bravo to run at half way on the thermostat. cause mine does everytime.

its full of coolant and the fan comes on if it is standing for about ten mins.

any info will be top

Quite normal. In fact it is a good sign that your thermostat is working ok so long as the fan goes off again

me dad says not to worry about it. but it rises up to there and it was bothering me.

mine used to run just above if i was diving her hard, the engines on the 1.2 seem to get pretty hot n e ways or it did on mine

that halway line is the perfect engine temp! (If you think about it, your guage is showing you whats too low, and whats too high) Its when it goes above the halfway mark that you should worry, or when it only goes to the halfway mark when idling, (ie the car isn't moving) as this indicates the thermostat has jammed open.
