I cant believe how annoying my car is. As I discussed earlier, my heater matrix has gone and I still need to get it sorted. So the garage kindly plumbed the engine radiator together, bypassing the matrix until I can get it done so no heat for me.

I drove to Uni yesterday and the stupid car decided to break down again. The injection light came on and it started grownling and wouldnt drive fast. And it did this right outside a fiat garage ironically enough. So I dumped it there and asked for the problem. apparently its the HT Leads and the no2 coil. I know what HT leads are and can do them myself. But I dont know where the coils are and If I can do them myself (been quoted £175 inc vat to have it done). Should I get it towed back home and do it myself?

hi ya jo jo my sei had that prob after a sirvice the injection light lit and losing about 30mph

i tuck it back and they changed on of the spark plugs

suprizing how much power you lose whan ones not workin

try it first

The coils are the things under the black plastic cover on the right-hand end of the engine, at the top (looking at it from in front). They've got the plug leads coming out of them ;)
£175 sounds mega steep. Try a local motor factors for the coil (there's 2 of em, might be worth doing both even if just one's failed as the other could well be on its way out). A Haynes manual will tell you how to do it, shouldnt be a hard job.

That reminds me! I think I had one of them done when I first had the bloody thing! I remember getting a garage to do it for me and paying £48 cos i didnt want my mum to know about it and I was in a hurry - every time i get a car problem she reckons its because I dont drive properly or something!

Ha ha - Im pleased about that - I have the right size allen key for it too - i remember pulling them apart to see how things worked. Easy peasy. Right, getting a tow back home is the way forward. Excellent.
