Grande Punto The New Guy's Red Multijet

Introduction

Im new to this forum and though id post my first comment by showing you all my Grande Punto. Picked it up from Evans Halshaw around 2 months ago and started modding from day one.

So far the list is:
Fiat wind deflectors
Wrapped door pillars
Badgeless grill and matching black lower grill
Pressed plates
Wrapped front bumper
De Punto'd
Powerflow back box
Yellow lamin-x fogs
17" Fiat alloys prof. refurbed in Anthracite with a hint of purple in direct sunlight
Red abarth centre caps
Red front and rear callipers
Chrome dustcaps with red Fiat logo
White LED side lights
Halfords HID equivalent headlights (did have 6000k HIDs but kept blowing and got a refund. they wasnt even a standard fit bulb was faaaaaar to big)
White LED number plate lights
Stubby aerial
Light window tints

i was considering changing to purple but i thought theyd only look good on a silver car so i stuck with yellow haha

you got a build thread for yours mate?
 
yeah suppose buddy lmao! it would help if youve took pics along the way tho to show progress or if not just take loads of your car now of each different mod youve done and just put them all together. from your avatar pic it looks really well mate
 
been doing abit of work under the bonnet for a change. gave it a clean, painted the engine cover red and installed a heat shielded cone air filter, loving the blow off noise even more so seen as in the missus hates it haha "ryan it sounds sh*t it sounds broken" bla bla bla

any who heres a pic!



im also going to be painting the "multijet" on the engine cover black...somehow...any suggestions? and sometime next week ill be putting a bonnet lifter on and ill get a pic up of that too. if anyone wants a vid of the filter ill try and get one up too ;)

Looks smart mate, what you paint the engine cover with spray paint?
 
thought about that wasnt sure if it would work :/ then i thought about plastidip and just peel it off from surrounding taped off area but wasnt sure how it would stand up to heat
i might try marker pen, will it fade or anything like that? thanks
 
and mr and mrs tjet i used sand paper starting with 120 working through to 800 cleaned with thinner, then did 4 coats of halfords red enamel paint, 7.99 a tin used 1 and a half tins, then 2 coats of laquer left to dry for 24 hours, came out well i suppose to say ive never painted before really!

ok kool looks like you've done a pucka job, is there any other colours? was it sprays cans?

theres loaaads of colours mate, yes it was spray cans youd be able to do it with one can most probably but i wanted an extra coat or so on it so i bought 2, all in it cost me around 20 pound as i already had sand paper and thinner. not a bad cheap mod imo!
