installed a pipercross panel filter last night courtesy of TangoMachine91...
and when I say installed I mean he put it in haha!

wanting to get better airflow to the airbox now tho so is there anywhere that do silicone intake pipes or bigger ones or anything like that?

thanks :)

I took the feed for the inbox off, you could try and get hold of the abarth airbox feed which is basically a 'shorter' version of the feed that comes from the front bumper.

righttt will it affect the air coming in then I.e heat soak or dust in the intake?

if anything it makes the air coming through the intake cooler and cleaner.

the EGR basically forms a look from the exhaust back into the engine for any 'unburned' fuel to be put through the system again.

although I found my mjet ran a hell lot better with it partically blocked. and got slightyly better mpg again!

you can get them for pennys :)
this is the one I have which as 1 hole in it. just to keep the EML off. but it does still come on every now and then. but goes off after a few days :)

you can also get fully blanked ones. :)

@Ryan D

ergh sorry, thats me posting in the wrong thread!! but an egr blank would be a good move to do aswell haha :)

as for the airbox, I don't think it does anything removing it apart from giving you abit more turbo noise on release of the throttle! Ill get a picture later as I need to clean my filter anyway :)

nice mods you got on it so far!

no not that im aware of haha! got the warning light up but im running led sides and number plate lights. had a wierd issue with not starting but someone informed me.to "double warm" the glow plugs and its been fine ever since I started doing that

thanks mate!

@Ryan D my pictures don't really show much so I've made some paint pictures too since I dont have a phillips to hand to get my airbox open...

hard to see but where I've circled you disconnect the piping from the front bumper, this goes to the bottom of the air box.

this picture is of inside the air box

what I forgot to add in the picture was in the airbox, there is already a section that you can 'slide out' ( it will make sence when you take you open your airbox.)
followed by the otherside where I have diagramed where to cut :D

you have to options to either provide a 'less restrictive' air feed with some air pipeing or just leave it as it is after disconecting the inlet pipe.. just be sure to give your air filter more of a clean regulary.. (every 6k approx) :) getting yourself a panel filter will help flow too :)

thanks alot for the info buddy. im dying at that diagram last tho i dont know why just a great picture hahaha!

yeah ive already moved the "slidey out piece" im gonna take myself outside and grt to work removing the intake pipe and cut that other bit haha.

thanks man appreciate it!

:') I'm very busy in work honest!

I used a junior hacksaw with great difficulty at first, I then remembered I have a dremel tool!

already got the pipercross panel filter on. just took the airbox lid off and that little bit of tubing to maf and turbo is inside the airbox lid correct?
