Hy I am on to buy some 75bhp punto (6 months ago i was thinking about panda) :D and I want to know if someone has any idea about tuning it cheap. I am interested only in exhaust and "antirolling" (hope that beast will be as economical as before tuning) :) :) :) :)

What are the costs?

Thanks guys (and girls if any)

Umm id start off with a K&N57i Induction Kit cost about £50-£70. Then I would get a complete exhaust system including replacement manifold will cost about £250+ for a decent one. Then Highperformance powerfull spark plugs and good quality HT leads cost about £40 all together for 4 plugs and new leads. Then you could look into Ecotek Fuel Valves about £70. Then you could look into getting the ECU remapped once you have all your other mods on to get maximum power. After you have done all that your still looking at only just over 100bhp but your torque will be alot more strong across the rev range.

Induction kit, yeah do that but the main draw back with the k&n and other filters like that is that they sit on top of the (hot) engine. You can feed cold air up to it, but its better to have the filter on some tubing and down nearer the front right handside of the bay. GSR do a kit that may fit the punto75.

HT leads, KV85 Magnecors will set you back £50 a set - maybe a bit overkill. Check out the cheaper bosch ones. Plugs, Champion Eon 2's are around £20 - can't go wrong with them :)

I cant help with exhaust, apart from suggest supersprint and powerflow. Remapping is a good idea also. I'm not too sure who does remaps for fiats, i know tuning concept do but its a lll pricey (£350).

Handling wise, lower it. Spax or apex springs. If you want to spend a bit more, you could fit new dampers/spring set like. Spax do some nice matched sets.

iirc brembo do some uprated discs for the punto, they're worth a look and stick a set of mintex brake pads on there too.

Hope that helps ya :)

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

Huh, hmmm.... I will prefer something near or below 120£. Is this possible?
What can i do with exhaust pipe? does it affect on motor and 75 horses in?
Do you know where to get anti-roll bars or how glue car on road without lowering it (cheap, cheap, cheap) :) :) :) :) :)

mate you cant have both, modifying costs money.if you want uprated anti-roll bars then it will cost you.on the cheap fit some lowered springs and decent tyres.if you fit a new full exaust you get a few Bhp and if you fit just a back box you get a nice noise and maybe 2-3 Bhp but you have to pay im afraid.any performance mods will affect fuel economy im afraid

Hello

I've got a Fiat Punto 75 and done some mods on it.

Fisrt my Punto needed shock absorbers so I decide to fit the absorbers from Punto GT. They are stiffer so they made so improvemnt. Cost if I remember right £120.

From an internet auction bought springs -35mm for only £30. They did a great difference. Rolling reduced dramatically and the car is high enough to pass any bump/hump.

All this took me about 3 hours to fit (absorbers and springs)and I am a beginner but had all the tools (spring compressor about £25). The front supsension is McPherson and took less than an hour to change both sides.

From my birthday my mates bought me Brembo disks from an internet site for £50. A good set of pads and the braking was improved.

From a set of alloys TSW 14" paid £130 from an ad in local paper.

Total cost £330 pounds and the car looks good and handles beter. I am not willing to spend more money on the Punto I think there is not worth it to spend more money for filter and exhaust to gain more or less 10hp.

If I (you)want something faster the with £500 pounds you can buy a Fiat Tipo 16v and have 148hp and suprise everyone in the traffic lights.

Anyway what I suggest is try to find a Punto GT in a scrapyard and buy the anti rols and brakes and don't spend more money. It is difficult and needs a lot of money to make a 75 fast when with the same money you have spend for the mods you can buy a GT
