How long is a peice of string?

Everyone's opinions will differ and some makes aren't available in all sizes so it's hard to comment but durinf nearly 3 years of Cinq ownership I've had

4 x Pirellis - on the car when I bought it, ok but looked weedy

4 x Nankangs - to replace the pirellis, looked the part, were cheap but crap

2 x Avon ZV1's - good tyres, would reccomend

After these I went to 175/50 13's and I go bridgestone potenza's which IMO are good but Pete gives good reviews of the Continentals in the same size and I will be trying them out soon.

Overall buy the best with your available cash.

If you can get yokos i would rate these for grip. The ones i got on seem to be lasting very well seen as they are a soft compound andthe way i sling it round corners. Hated pirellis especially when wet. The Nangkang ditchfinders rate just about the pirellis for me. Aint ever have continentals. Hope this helps

DO NOT BUY FULDA TYRES

ive got them on the front on my cinq and yokos on the rear yes the yokos arent as good grip in wet as they are in the dry but the FULDA tyres just spin anywhere they want there pathetic and for the price just buy yokohoma's there the best tyres ive ever had and i would recomend them to anyone.

by the way im running 185/50 tyres on 14's and the yokos cost me £56 each fitted and ballanced.

rubber ones with air in i ve get aset 185 pirellis on mone aint gone wrong yet

i thought u had 145`s put on the other week. u sed u`d stay on 145`s to prove a point...lol

i have got 165/55/13 pirellis, same as standard, and i find them to be dreadful in the wet. There is a few times when i have been pushing the car and the steering has gone all light felt like there is no grip (nearly **** myself the first time it happened). I can not recommend any other tyres as not had any, but i suppose everyone likes different tyres for different reasons and at the end of it probs depends on ur driving style. :D:D:D

ive got 4x bridgestone 175/50/r13's. before these i had 185/60/r13 cheapy tyres.

with the newer tyres there seems to be more a of 'zone' before they loose grip. My old cheap tyres were good good good and then bang you're in a field. The bridgestones give a bit more warning, but will still understeer and then snap to oversteer if u get it wrong!

love my full set of Nankangs or W ank-angs as the garage calls them, there cheap and make the drive a hell of a lot more interesting plus they look quite nice.
Nankangs also are a slightly wider tyre compared to the Pirelli's, this can look a bit strange when standing back from your car.
think i pointed this out to some 1 at the italian car show at grimsthorpe cant remember who.

It was me you pointed it out to a MITCAR. They still grip crap though.
Dead easy to notice on my car though as mine are all Wankangs except my rear left, which is Pirelli. I used to have 4 Pirellis but the rest have popped.

if you think the yokos are dodgy in the rain you want to try fuldas, the other day i went round a roundabout and realised they werent gripping so turned to go of and nothing was happening put it on full lock to the left and it was travelling right round the round about and then i backed off toatlly in second and nailed it and just got oof the roundabout in time to avoid the bollard, its like a drift car but its not the back end drifting away.

I got 4 x Continental 185/50 and they grip way better than the pirelli & nankang combination i had on the standard rims. The arse end used to come out well easy with nankangs on the back :D but the pirellis were really s**t in the wet and the conti's have performed well both in the wet and dry so they get my recommendation (y)
