there are quite a few streetlights in our village, and the last one in the village is on the other side of the road to my room, which sucks, but with some hefty curtains you never know its there!
At uni I am on the 4th floor so am unaffected by any sort of light, it can be 1 in the morning or 1 in the afternoon and you wouldn't know any different (half the reason I keep sleeping in), uni supply us with the heaviest duty curtains since black out curtains of 1941!!!

I'd put money on them being genuine 1940's blackout curtains.. Uni's tend to save on the cash on things like that!

We have a street light out side ours also but you know ppl they do have a plus side i mean how else would i be able to do a tarzan of the top of the wardrobes and swing on the light fitting for her in doors and its also handy to make sure the right person is there in the first place LMAO

used to suffer with the street lights when i was in the front bedroom, i moved to the back and not had any problems since
My house is set back from the road so no problems with lights here, only problem is it can get quite dark getting from the driveway into the house, especially if the bulb in the security light goes

our old house had a street light about 15 ft away from the bedroom, which i got used to and quite liked, i'm not a fan of total darkness, the new one has one about 20ft away and is just as glowy, cool
my mate had a street light out side his bedroom. the council put it up one day. he wasnt happy so threw stones at it till it broke lol. they never came to fix it and my mate has now since moved lol
