Hi!
My problem is that my tempra (-91) consumes too much fuel, about
8-8,5 l / 100 km. CO & HC values from the exhaust pipe are both too
high, lambda was something like 0,70. Anybody share the problem ? I don't
know what causes this - I'm now seeking the solution from thermal sensor for
the electronic control unit.

It seems that the engine is working fine without this sensor connected (from
the motor side) when driven. As I checked the Ohm values directly from
thermal sensor - it showed about 700 Ohms when engine rested about and
hour and 400+ when driven about ten minutes - it seems that the sensor
itself is working fine. Problem can be in sensor wires?

Where's tempras electronic control unit located ? Just to check all the
sensors are well connected there and to measure that thermal Ohm value
gets through wiring.

My 94 Tempra 1.6 monopoint ingection has 2 ecu's, one finned one for the timing in the engine bay on the bulkhead, and another in the passenger compartment footwell under the dashboard for the injection / carburettor.

Lambda signal is now good (warm engine), but the lambda heater doesn't get
any electricity - does anybody know where tempras lambda heater fuse is
located?

Hello,
TheKooba ......... May I ask what do you mean with<< lambda >> does it have another name? do you have a pic??
waiting for ur reply

In my car the ignition ECU is in the engine compartment on the back right side of the bulkhead left of the power steering reserve bottle. The engine control for the injection is inside the car in the passenger footwell under the glove compartment / dashboard
