Technical Tempra 1.4 SLX 1994 - Digital dashboard clock and trip reset

Hello,

I have 1994 Fiat Tempra and recently my dashboard stopped keeping memory of the clock and trip values everytime I turn the key off.
Is that a problem with the dashboard circuits, or fuse, or..?
Any tips/hits would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a loose conection, or a short in the circuit. these systems usually work by having a power feed to them even whilst switched off. if the earth is buggered then it will cut the circuit. does it always work fine when driving?

There will be a perminant live (I dont have a manual to give details, sorry), it may be a bad relay, connection or even a fuse.

There also likely to be a back up battery somewhere on the circuit board to keep the mileage memory, it may give similar symptoms if its dead.

I cant remember where it is, but heres a pic of my dashboard from when I dismpantled it for cleaning & new bulbs. If anyone knows where it is, feel free to point it out on the pic...
