Hi!

I was wandering if someone could help me out with my problem.

When I turn the key in the ignition, normally there are all these lights that come up (before the engine start). However the temperature warning light does not come up in this pre-ignition moment.

Could it be burned bulb or something else?

Thanks for your help.

Lucas

Im gathering this is for the sei.

If it is, it doesnt come on pre-ignition, more than likely because the engine is cold.

The temp light will only come on on a sei if is overheating

But shouldn`t it turn up together with all other lights?

I thought that they all light up because it is some sort of a test so you could know that bulb is not dead?

(basing this on 899cc cinq, or 899cc Sei s/sx)

no, that light is different. if you want to test it, unplug the wire off the temperature sender and touch it to the engine block. the light should come on then. i'm not 100% on where the sender is on the 899, but i beleive it is near the stat housing.

well, I will examine that later on today and see how it works. I already know where the sender unit is. It is on the right-hand side of the head if you were looking from the inside of the car.

For me it should work as soon as all the lights are on before the engine starts.
