Technical Temperature sensor

Will a temp sensor off a GT fit a 16v Sporting? My car is very jerky when cold for the first few mins and the only things left to try are the temp sensor and the fuel pump.

Checked the lambda sensor? It's got (2!) heaters inside it that can stop working and make the car run choppy until the engine has heated the exhaust manifold and make it work correctly!

Yep its got a new lambda, new plugs and leads aswell. Only things left are the temp sensor and fuel pump and i got a mate who is breaking a GT so i was going to try rhe temp sensor off that.
