Technical TD 100 cambelt snapped.

My brother in law has got a 98 s td100 and the aux belt has snapped and looks like it has taken out the cambelt. If you look at the camshaft through the oil filler cap when the engine turns over, the camshaft stays static. What type of damage would this have done and how big a job is it to repair/cost etc.

its a head off and replace bent valves on this engine

or in other words, more than the car is reallistically worth, sorry.

unless you already have all the toold etc then its not so bad but if you need to pay a garage to do it i think it will be stupid prices, get a quote thought from someone with experience with that engine.
