given that his own car is off the road atm, plus the workshop he (well, we, to be fair) is furbishing still has to be finished!

jordan, you should have made it clear that this project is in no danger of being finished for a year or two!

although let me be the first to say (and i dont even care for moggies that much) that this car WILL be astounding if/when it surfaces onto the road again

Yes, to be fair i have a few other projects on atm aside my customers work as matthew (Munkul) is all too kind enough to remind me. I never planned to finish this car quickly, it took my cousin 4 years to complete his old mini and that was just bodywork. Once my cars back on the road i can start looking for a suitable donor car to give me its engine and box ( ihave the car in mind).

Cheers Phil but i've had that site book marked for a couple of years now, what john beardmore doew with his cars is awesome, he even had a feature with the latest custom minor in retro cars a year or two back.

If any of you have ever worked on one then the ultimate pain in the butt to get off is the brake master cylider :bang: the rest of the car is very basic but well proven design and with the pickup you dont even have to remove the rear seats cos there aint any :worship:

I'm not going the Rover V8 lump route, love them and the twin camm, but this is having something a little more modern in it. Its an engine that to my knowledge isn't used a *great* deal on retro's at present.

It has to be a conventional type of engine as in rear drive with gear box at the rear ..unless jordan is going front wheel drive ..now that WOULD be novel :chin:
