So what's the difference on an 1108 head? Cam aside I can't find anything.

Yes but there's no pump mount on an injected 999 either. And the 1108 came with a carb on the uno.

Nope, identical. Been checking up as I have both heads and was wondering what was interchangeable. As far as I can tell it's all bottom end, pistons rods and crankshaft are different for the longer stroke, and there's a higher lift cam but heads are the same. Just wondered if there was something I'd missed.

May have wandered off topic there a little actually sorry. Pertinently it just means I think the 1108 gasket kit I linked to earlier should be fine for a 999. And an 1108 cam actually is slightly shorter duration and same lift as the 4x4.
....so stick the old head back on.

You can convert an inj head to take a mechanical pump..I've done it..

The 866 cam' doesn't have a manual pump profile at the end.

You could machine one and use a longer pushrod.

ahh well good news. the head gasket seems ok. one cylinder (no 3) reads lower though. see pictures..

the issue was da daa da daaaaaa

the ignition module. i had spare with me but every one was popped. yes that was but a year old. and for some reason it had popped.
when i get some cash in the bank i will pay out for about 4 new ones. so i have spare.

i just stole the whole distributor from off the grey panda for now. i will rebuild talons one when i get the parts. there was a lot of what looked like dust inside the distributor though.. not sure if that was any fault.

wont know till i take it all to bits and have a look.

Might want to look at the valve clearances on that - could be a valve not seating well on No3 pot.

Was the amp module which caused my Sisley to die on the Way to Gaydon for Jan 2009 Panda meet.

Recovered into Gaydon and home again after. £10 later for a replacement and jobs a good one.
