My Wife decided on her Abarth yesterday after just over 2 and a half years with her 500 1.2 Lounge.

We have bought an ex-demonstrator from Westover Sports cars in Poole and it's a March 2011 Abarth in Campovolo Grey with red leather, climate control, 17" diamond spoke alloys, red side decals, red chequer roof and red bonnet scorpion (both too be added) and it's having a Monza exhaust fitted too.

We saved a good couple of K off of list price and it only has just over 2,000 miles on the clock.

We were originally looking for an Essesse but decided in the end to get something newer within our budget and if necessary look at upgrading certain parts later, such as a remap and suspension etc.

Ben at Westover was great to deal with, both him and the MD (I think) made us all very welcome yesterday and we were allowed to take the car out for as long as we wanted so we had a good hour and a half's drive on all road types to give it a thorough test.

I'm glad the Wife decided to change hers, I recently bought a new Citroen DS3 Racing and it been a real struggle switching between mine and her 1.2 Lounge!

HI Stef , congrats on the new car and totally agree with you about the guys at Westover Sports Cars. Ben and Chris are top guys and the fact that they let you take the car for as long a drive as you want (we took one for a six hour jaunt to Swanage and all over the Purbecks) is why they deserve their reputation and one of the reasons I bought mine there. I guess now that you will be wanting to show it off so why not persuade the wife that you really need to come to the NFM 6? ;)

Congratulations to your OH and yourself Stef on the new motor. (y)
A very nice spec with the sound and the extra brake of the Monza.
IMHO you were better off without the stiff Esseesse springs as an everyday drive and getting that long test drive was a smart move for that Garage.
You'll both be spolit for choice with that lovely DS3R.
It will be interesting to see which set of keys you'll end grabbing first.:)
