Technical Suspension upgrade/improvements?

Hi,

Has anyone looked to improve handling and suspension by improving shocks/springs etc? My 500L MPW 1.6D has a lot of roll and hits the potholes like a tin sled on a pebble beach. Read a while back about some USA owner upgrading the suspension for a less rocky and smoother ride. If I go over a bump and pothole it feels like the bottom of the car is going to go through the floor.

How old is your car?

You've described an older cars behaviour. Older cars can have regular suspension components fitted and will handle like new.

New cars can have performance springs and dampers fitted. That'll improve the ride but it's never going to be smooth.
