Technical Suspension bushes

Did they have all bushes for CC in offer? Some time ago they had only bushes for front wishbones. Which colour you have? how is handling with Powerflex? Is it much better?

I forgot about anti-roll bar. Did Powerflex has bushes for it? AFAIK they can prepare any bush which they have in catalogue in each colours (stifness).

bad boy - have you taken the sleeve out from the old bush? Powerflex's description is about right.

Sie -
clamp brake line and undo.
Remove rear arm.
Pull/cut/extract rubbers from old bushes.
Hacksaw slot in sleeve from old bush to release the compression in the hole, taking care not to cut into the arm.
Grease and pop new bushes in.
Refit arm.
Reconnect brakes and bleed system.
Job's a teacake.

did u get the bushes replaced? I've got squeaking probs on my punto elx and I believe it most likely the bushes, but im told replacing the bushes involves taking off the axle, wheels, brakes and then pressing the new ones in, so quite a lot of labour.

Fiat said around £130 + vat to do bushes, but may get away with greasing the suspension.

How much did it cost u?

o - I didn't use nething resembling a hacksaw - you'd think they'd tell you that in the destructions. What happens if you fit them without taking the sleeve out first? - must say tho, couldn't see any sleeve. Got them in eventually - so squashed they sorta spewed outta the end, which ment getting them in the arm was also very hard. Took the arm off the car and got 'em in. Car is STILL on axel stands now, but rear suspension is all assembled and bloodly hell is it hard if you tray and push the rear down!
Can't wait till I have a go!

Hi Forum, good place you've got here :D

I did the bushes job for my friend & it was a *[:(!]*. I've now got a few companies involved & I'm selling reconditioned arms to save you guys the swearing. Or if you like swearing I'm also selling the bushes on their own. Check me out at www.feeat.com.

I have a problem though, I can't find enough old arms on scrapyards to build up a decent stock. Does anyone have any or know of any scrapyards with cinq's on them. Somewhere in the area between Norwich, Cardiff, London & Birmingham would be best [8D]

Fixitagaintomorrow please could you add my website to your 'funny noises' sticky? Thanks.

:)
