Folks, a salesman assured me this evening that Fiat no longer do the skydome and only offer an electric sunroof now. Is this the case? What does it consist of? The skydome obviously had the two huge glass panels, one front and one rear, the front one opening, the rear one fixed. Is it just a sunroof now and if so what does it look like?

Looking on the fiat website it looks the same to me, perhaps just a name change. If your dealer cant explain what it is try another dealer or ring Fiat uk.

Tried another dealer already - they are going to look into and get back.

No having much success here at all. Both dealers I have phoned say it IS changed (one dealer specified that it's now one glass panel instead of two) but Fiat UK recons it's unchanged. :bang: Does anyone actually have one with the new sunroof? That way I could probably guarantee whether it's one panel or two.....:yum: If you do, let everyone know or post a pic please? Thanks.

I've been searching google for a while now and I can't see anything about the sunroof option being different. The Fiat website still shows the Skydome type sunroof in the options so it must be just a name change ? don't know what the reason for this could be though

I thought that initially from looking at the picture, but I can't really tell if the picture shows the pane of glass over the rear section of the car any more or not.... It would help if they had shown it shut rather than open, but I suppose the point of a sunroof is to have it open.....:p Any other thoughts/help appreciated. Away to phone another couple of dealers, one non-Arnold-Clark dealer north of here and also the main branch in Marylebone to see what they say.

I just "configured" a Multijet on the Fiat site and it shows an electric sunroof with a metal section of roof panel behind. But then, if the dealership sales people don't know the available options it doesn't say much for communication/product update from Fiat. Maybe they only get told when new stock rolls in? (n)

Can anyone advise with a definitive answer to muser's original post? I also can't seem to get a concise response from dealers and can't find a reference to the Skydome on Fiat's website

I couldn't justify £510 for a single sunroof, but I would spend it on what I have seen in the pictures (sorry, I still can't post links) some poeple have posted of their skydome's: the double glass panels look great from the outside, almost completely covering the roof.
It also looks like they give the interior, with the two opening sections, a different, more open feel.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

Only the front section of the skydome opens. The rear section is fixed.
