Anybody know if sumps from various MK1 Punto's are interchangeable ie will a sump from a '60 engine fit a '55 engine?

Yeah the sumps on the 55, 60 and 75 are the same. Im pretty sure the sump on the sumper FIRE(1.2 16v) is the same too.

nope a 1108 sump wont fit a 1242, they not as deephormanncinq said:

well there must be some reason why fiat fitted the deeper sump
The Sporting sumps are definitvely different.

Well if it don't fit I may have a brand new sporting sump going cheap! but a deeper sump on an 1108 probably not a problem as long as the flange is the same just need a bit more oil to fill it!?Oldschool said:

Both with oil filter:
1108: 3.47 litre
1242 8v: 3.74 litre
1108: 3.47 litre
1242 8v: 3.74 litre
