Sucking Noise from fuel cap,

As above really when i take the fuel cap of to fill up its makes a sucking sound, is the breather blocked,if so any ideas how to fix it? friend had this on a range rover and it shrunk his tank made a right mess.

Any help much appreciated

Bravos have no fuel tank breather tube. No modern cars do, stops petrol fumes from getting out and hurting flowers and hippies.

Whats happening is actually normal.

I think u'l find that its not a sucking noise but a pressure release noise just like when you open a bottle of fizzy pop

@Dan...Its the opposite! Air rushes in because there is an area of lower pressure inside the fuel tank, gases always try to reach equilibrium with the external pressure. our atmoshpere!

I think its the gremlins trying to suck you into the fuel filler.

No Wimmy your right.... its gremlins. I find if you look closeley into the feul tank. So close you can smell the fumes the gremlins will talk to you and tell you to burn things!
