ive got the seat belt runner and passenger door panel off, how do i fix the power cable to the battery, where do i fix the earth wire, what do i use to fix the sub to the terminals and the amp to the terminals. i need a step by step guide, please someone help

If you buy an amp wring kit, you wont need to do much but run the wires the length of the car and connect where appropiate. If your doing all the wiring yourself you will need to crimp connectors to the wire which can be difficult and lead to a poor connection.

To get the live wire to the battery, there is a plastic cover behind the carpet in the passengers side footwell. Not visible from engine bay. Go through there. Run speaker cables either under the centre console, under the carpet to the boot and the live wire under the passengers side footwell door covers. Dont do them all together it can lead to interference.

A good earth is behind the plastic trim behind the drivers side rear light. Take all the plastic covers off around that light and you'll see a big chunky wire being earth'd to the car. Connect to that.

but where to i fit the power lead in? i cant find where, at them moment its just under the bonnet tied up

Unscrew the nut on the +VE terminal on the battery, hook the +VE lead to the terminal, put the nut back on and tighten.

there is already a red cable going into the battery though?

i dont know, the earth wire and a red one are running in there, my red power cable for amp has no where to go!

Trace the red wire and find out where it goes. If its nothing remove it and fit your new one.

so how exactly would i put my red cable on the battery, and where exactly would i put it

Does the lead you have from the amp have a metal loop on the end to connect it or is it a bare wire with no connections?

twist the bare wires........offer the wire into the hollow of the "hoop" then give it a good squeeze with a pair of pliers or crimpers.

if you can, i would solder the wires into the hoop to ensure a good electrical connection

then put the hoop onto one of the bolts on the battery terminal nice and tight...and thats it!!

but where under the bolt, because there are alrdy wires underneath there

doesnt matter so long as all the wires are connected

just undo one of the bolts [keep the original wire in place] put your amp wire in tighten it all up then thats it
