I agree it means no points but in the uk a lot of insurance companies are starting to disregard speeding points as they are so common and often silly. Maybe the same with you?

A clean licence is what I had until January when some low life in a transit van zapped me doing 50 in a 40[!]

That's bad luck. It's getting harder to keep a clean license now though, a majority of people have points and it's going to get worse before it gets better.

When I've been out with the lads on the bikes we make sure that we go through as many Gatsos as we can at over 100+ as long as they are facing us as we ride into them, we've even done it two and three astride sometimes, the beauty of motorbikes, no number plates on the front! [^]

um errr. i was under the impression that gasto's didn't take snaps at oncoming vehicles, bit dangerous to be activating a flash in a drivers face.... especially considering they are only meant to be placed at accident areas...

Yes Donz, I can assure you the onward facing cameras do take a picture of you, and the Police deserve to have as much film wasted on these money making devices as possible, that's why we do it, they should be named Dick Turpins not Safety Cameras as they are bloody highway robbery machines!

Hi,
the truvelo cameras, which are prominent around Northampton, take forward facing snap shots - it is the only way they can prove who is driving [unless you happen to drive around wearing a mask!!!].
I also live near a SPECS site - now that is painful!!! Average speed over a three mile stretch. Times and numbers you see cars braking as they get near a camera, but by then way too late.....
BTW, none of these are near schools, etc.

I believe it is true and was in the New Scientisit a while back, although I don't believe it is past the testing stages. All good for me, about time people follow the law as they're meant to.
