hi

wanna slap a strut brace onto my sei. I have looked at previous posts about the MOMO and OMP braces. have seen posts about both saying there tricky to fit as ECU and washer bottle are in the way?

which is better and easier to fit, as my gut is saying MOMO.
Where could I get one of these from?
Demon tweeks?

thanks

Got a Sparco one on my cinq, they seem to have forgotten about the battery when they designed it - had to push it back out of it's tray to get the brace on[:(!]

Sparco and momo ones are 'down below' ones - going between strut towers.
OMP is an 'up&over' type, going up from the strut tops and across.

OMP needs trimming of the brackets on ecu and expansion bottle to fit.

so whats the momo like for fit?
I know centoevo had one, but i saw when he was selling the bits the other day, the brace and induction kit went together as the filter cleared the brace?
am I going to have problems with a K&N?

hi

have you got a k&n on ur engine. I had a look earlier when I was in the process of taking the dash apart lol.
kinda tight for space as the filter sits quite far back.

Yeah this is mine fitted, quite old picture but I have pointed out the problems with yellow circles,

The battery is the main concern I had to liturally turn it around!

1. Battery positive turned round
2. "" same as above negative where postive should be
3. Just stuck some rubber under the strut and the bit of the ECU so that it wouldnt wear right through it! simple!

Please fit it directly to the strut tops and not on top of brackets etc.

Everyone says that, you cant fit it under the bracket for the last time, I said this on the last strut topic, the fact that the OMP strut brace has an edge on it that flicks upwards and if it was under the brackets the brackets wont bolt back on due to the lip on the edge of the brace being really big!

Take a look at Andys 16v Sei (TBsei) as seen on here he has it on the bracket too, + the bracket is perfectly flat on mine and sits flush to the body work so it makes no different at all!

is there a noticeable change in handling with a strut brace?

Yes there is a big difference to be fair, I took it off the other week for when we changed the shocks and I drove it without and it was noticible and when i put it back on it was awesum

that looks to be properly spaced using nuts underneath, its not sat on top of the bracket like yours seems to be.

They will fit flat on a sei, only a minor amount of modding to the brackets as well.
