Since the winter came in, my 1.2 8vs been having a rather annoying problem.
When starting from cold, you need to give it much more throttle than usual when setting off from junctions etc, otherwise the engine just slows down and starts spluttering (sometimes stalling) when you lift the clutch. once the cars been running a few mins, its fine.
So i presumed it has something to do with how the punto handles cold starting. obviously older cars used chokes to richen the mixture, but how does the punto do this? I presume its a sensor that detects the temp and so then then ECU makes the injectors supply more fuel to richen the mix. is this right? if so what sensor is it? or any other suggestions why its acting this way?
