When i turn the engine off i can hear a noise comin from the bonnet it clicks off after about 10 seconds. apart from this one time it was goin on for like 2 hours.. so just went back out to turn engine on and turn it back off and it clicked off this time

what is it???

Sounds to me like the fan as mentioned above. Is it the longer/harder the drive - the longer it makes the noise?

As always if you're sure it's not that and are really worried take it to a (trusted) garage who'll be able to offer you advice. Some may even check it for free and only charge you for actual work done (not FIAT garages though, I think they charge £65 for any diagnostics).

Good luck and let us know if you do find anything!(y)

i dont think its a problem :S but im not sure.. quite alot of cars do it.. just wanted to know what it was... its not like fan noise its like a electrical noise.. like when power runs through a transformer it makes a high pitched sort of noise.. then it like clicks off Strange sound might open the bonnet next time see if i can see where bouts its comin from..

if you open the bonnet and find the throttle housing. And turn the car igntion off.
You will find it to be the throttle going through its self cleaning and learn. Or in over words it being powered and moving, and you can hear the actuator moving ( fly by wire throttle ). You will also find, but you will not see the air flow meter powered up going through its own self clean for the same period of time...........

my 1.9 MJ makes a strange noise when i start it up.... almost like a humming for 2 seconds or so... i just put it down to somthing in the climate control system.... blue and me.... or the cd headunit (y):)

it does the same when i switch ot off as well :)
