Well since i bought the car from them thought it was only fair to have its first service carried out by them to save any hastle should there need to be any warrenty work carried out et all (*yes i know about EEC block exemption et all........*) so After a bit of a debate get the price down from £120 to £100.14p....

Book the car in tell them i will have to hang about told that was ok and be there for 9am and they would sort it out.......... result :D

get there drop the keys off leaving the service book and wheel nut keys on the passenger seat

Service desk lass kindly points me to the local greasy spoon cafe so i have a slow wander there and get my breakfast, then go on to waste an hour wandering to the town centre and drift round the market (what a load of tat on there) then again i digress......

wander back about half ten-ish only to be told the service department opens at 8am so all cars have already been allocated and workshop is full :bang: :bang: :bang: and mine is in the que.

Was then pointed in the direction of the waiting area and help myself to a brew of "mud" from the coffee machine so sat there thumbing through Take a break and the other old mags they have all over the place,,

To be then approached by one member of staff who informs me that they have found my "hidden camera" :ROFLMAO: (those of you who seen my unit the in car "black box" called the T-Eye Google it)

Anyhow a cup of tea later and a bit of eaves dropping such as "Hello Mrs x x x x x, Your car needs 2 front wiper blades which will be £18"

(me been me waited till she put the phone down and questioned the amount only to be told mine would be much more if i needed them as mine uses flat blades.... :ROFLMAO: however there was no real response to my "I can get pattern ones for £6+vat from the local factors" (and no thats not made up)

Anyhow finally get the Ok and my car is out the workshop.... thank god for that et all.......

so wander out having parted with £100 of my hard earned they had knocked me 14p off :slayer:

So get to my car oil mark on drivers seat cover... :bang:

then find my Amber beacon (use at work occasionally) which was in the passenger foot well has been uncoiled (cable was wrapped round it) and manage to temporally blind themselves with it

and my in car camera had been moved on its bracket......

and oil slopped all over the cat heat shield which smelt lovely driving home :bang:

No doubt i will be fobbed off when i finally answer the phone to their customer services who want a review of my experiences of their service department who keep ringing when im at work.............

But for those who still doubt what i have said a picture paints a 1000 words so what does a video or 2 Paint????

((( BAD LANGUAGE FROM MECHANICS)) And yes the reg number is wrong on the vid clips as i havn't updated the firmware on the camera...

Feel free to make your own conclusion if i will use them again :tosser:

No seat cover in first video.

Tech should never touch anything in the owners car, it's private property!

Not worse I have seen and personally seen much worse in the workshop however it does enforce the public generally poor opinion of Fiat dealerships.

Rule number 1 - respect for someone else's hard earned property!

T14086, I have to look through customer glove boxes, under the seats, side of car doors and in the boot on almost every vehicle where I'm required to remove the wheels. I do this in an attempt to find the wheel locking key/special socket required to remove the wheel nuts. I end up rummaging through all kinds of strange personal items.

I'll also admit to putting the clients radio on at times.

I would also add, as someone who works on cars and socialises with mechanics everyday... If your car is clean and well cared for mechanics will more than likely treat your car with more respect.

There was a car I was asked to work on last week. The job description was that the heater didn't work. Within a few minutes of being in the car I started to cough. I decided to investigate and found thick black/green algae / moss all over the rear seats and carpets. Then I looked in the boot and there were 4 bottles of fabric softener to mask the smell. Why not just throw out the manky old mats and clean the car?
