The reason I put it here was the reason it did so well was down to the technical aspect of the Mitsubishis turbo

I expect the lack of torque from the 1.2 would mean the Evo would have beaten it??
I actually think the 1.2 might have had a better edge if it was 5-gear against 5-gear. However i think you might be correct if the 1.2 had to do it in 6-gear from 40mph.
