General Stilo Schumacher, should I???

Well I went in there for some polish knowing that they are usually pretty bad for pricing and was pleasantly surprised, 8L for £20

Anyone got, or have fitted the sat nav unit to their stilo? Is it easy? There's a couple on eBay wondered if they are worth it

It's not a straight swap I'm afraid? The CD player part will work but the sat nav won't as you need to have the loom and also the antenna for the GPS to work. It has been done though I think MarkThompson4 has done it ...... Also I believe the digital display below the speedo flashes its nuts off as the body comp senses a foreign body in the system

Yeah as Gadge said, I have fitted the CN+ in my Stilo. I was also retrofitting the digital heater matrix and climate controller along with new stalks, clocks and steering wheel so it was a lot more work for me :p there's a guide for fitting the CN+ without doing all that, I think it will be plug and play with your original radio connections but will need to get yourself a GPS and phone receiver to make those functions work. The LCD display will flash the mileage and maybe the clock (till you set it), this can be sorted with proxy alignment. If you do get it and it works you may be interested in getting the large multifunction display clocks instead of keeping the standard ones - they display sat nav directions etc.

Hi mark, thanks for the reply,

Wow sounds like a job and a half to me, might just stick with the Tom Tom for now and tackle this one over the winter, thanks for the useful information tho, I was rather hoping for more of a plug and play thing but it sounds with tackling in the future,

Ash

Cheers for that Gadge, another quick one for you completely off the nav topic

Someone's told me there a dipstick for checking the gearbox oil on my schumy, is that tight as I can't seem to find it lol

Yeah there is bud it must be one of the only cars out there that does have one Lol. It's located on top of the diff housing but you won't get at it from the top. The best way I found was to get it with the passenger side wheel off as when its removed you can see right across the gearbox. It's only a tiny one - about 4 inches long I'ld say. Topping it up is a pain but I found inserting a long tube from the top by the battery though the dipstick hole and using a small funnel (y)

Nice one Gadge I've found it cheers, that's a result I've got to change the front anti roll links at the weekend anyway so ill check it then, is it worth a change at 55,000? Is it just 75/90?

Also I spotted this earlier, shame it's so far away it might have been worth saving
