Hi

I have a 1.9JTD Stilo - great car - however the 'Oil Sensor Failure' warning light comes on intermittently, a check of the oil level shows that its topped up correctly. I have taken it to the garage a couple of times and they cant find anything wrong with it - a then charge me for the privilege of not finding anything wrong - complete rip off.

How do I go about changing the sensor - I don't want to pay the tee leaf garage another penny?

Where can I get one from please (apart from the Fiat dealer),
Are they common to other cars?
Where can I find the part number please?

Thanks for your help

Yes - Fiat dealer - Thames Group - will ask for the money back - thanks

I get this every so often - bit random, some times it says I had low oil level, then I re-start it and it says its full, not sure if its related to the position of the pistons etc when you stop the engine - i've found that if I turn it off on a drop of revs I never get the message...
