General stilo mw rear lock version?

hi i have just bought a replacement lock waiting for it to arrive. only thing is my car does not have a keyhole in boot and the lock is from a car that does,
will it still fit my car and can i just take key barrel off it ?
also will a stilo hatchback lock fit

I guess you're sort of in a suck it and see situation since you've bought it already.

It's usually the case that the lock mechs are pretty universal and all the key barrel does is have a lever arm on the end of it which flicks another lever on the lock mech and unlocks the door / hatch.

so with any luck you'll just be left with a spare lever arm that would be activated by a key barrel if you had one.

There isn't any way to know for certain whether you are going to be OK or not without comparing part numbers. Ideally you always want to source replacement parts with identical part numbers.

I'd say hopefully you should be OK but I certainly cannot guarantee it.
