hi

my stilo has the factory alarm system however i set it off the other day to test and only the indicators flashed no siren or noise came from it. I also get alarm fault on start up which i guess could be down to this

does anyone have any ideas or could it have a fuse etc?

many thanks alex

Good chance the alarm ECU is buggered - mine is. You need to get it connected to a diagnostic to confirm it. If it's dead, live without the alarm, because it's ~£400 just to get it supplied from Fiat. The siren itself is about £110 new - you can buy it used, but not the ECU - they're matched to the car.

Personally, I'm living with it. Alarms are pretty much useless, and anyone trying to steal a keyless entry car pretty much needs the key. The alarm fault code will only come up when you actually press the 'lock' button on your fob, if you just let the car lock itself, the alarm doesn't try to enable, and it acts as normal (just with no alarm).
