hopefully someone can assist as I am wit's end with my car.
I started hearing a loud noise coming from the engine this morning. From drivers seat it sounded like it was coming from the in front of the passengers seat however when I opened the bonnet it sounds like it is right in the middle of the back of the engine.
I noticed when I started driving this morning on acceleration the engine did not seem as smooth as it has been recently. Felt like a wobble (maybe not best description) when I accelerated. A rattle soon developed and was worse when I accelerated.
When I got to work the rattle was there even when idling though not as bad as when accelerating.
The car was only serviced 2-3 months ago when it also had the timing belt replaced and was running very smooth until today.
Any info would be very much appreciated before I have to go to garage again. (Previously been in for drop-links, bushes and springs.)
